Shanghai’s First Driverless Subway All Set To Grow With New 6.8km Pujiang Line

Shanghai: Recently, Shanghai’s subway operators told media that the Pujiang line has passed its trial evaluation and is expected to open soon. The line runs between Shendu Highway Station and Huizhen Road Station in Minhang District. The line has six elevated and covers a length of 6.8km rail track. Passengers can transferred to line 8 at shendu Highway Station.  Puijiang driverless subway train will be the first one in Shanghai to hit the rail track, it also has noise reducing rubber tires. “We estimated more than 80 thousand passengers are going to take Puijiang line every day and average passenger flow will be 8000 per hour,  says Yu Miao Operation manager of Puijian line.” carriages on the line are equipped with surveillance cameras
